Thorpe Hesley Primary School is seeking to appoint a conscientious and enthusiastic Administration Assistant to work across both of our busy school offices. The successful candidate will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills as this post involves being the first point of contact for parents and visitors. You will be required to perform a varied range of administrative duties and it is therefore essential to be skilled in the use of various IT applications. Previous admin experience is essential and experience of working in a school office is desirable.
You will also be expected to provide basic first aid and medical care for children with specific medical needs as part of the school day (full training will be provided). The post is to commence as soon as possible and will be subject to a three-month probationary period.
Applicants should have GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent. Applicants need to be flexible, numerate, IT literate, punctual, reliable and be willing to undertake training as required.
