An exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our organisational development

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional teacher of English to teach either A Level English Literature or A Level English Language and Literature Combined (or both) and GCSE English Language.  The successful candidate will be an inspirational teacher, able to demonstrate a passion for their subject area and the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities in the 16-19 range.  With a demonstrable record of good or outstanding results, you will have a commitment to raising aspirations and supporting the wider college community.  If you are currently undertaking initial teacher training you will have demonstrated outstanding potential and aptitude for post-16 teaching.

New College Doncaster opened in September with over 450 Year 12 students and grew to over 950 students in September 2018.  This is an exciting new venture, creating a sister college to the well-established New College Pontefract, rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, replicating its ethos, values and practices.  The two colleges work closely, presenting exciting opportunities for collaboration, support, development and progression.

Working in a new campus, you will join a focused and driven team, committed to providing the highest standards of education for young people, in a challenging but supportive learning environment. New College Doncaster primarily delivers A Levels, alongside a number of Level 3 BTEC qualifications.

If you believe that you have the skills and abilities to take on this role, we’d love to hear from you.
