We are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic teacher to teach WJEC Level 3 Criminology. The successful candidate will be an inspirational teacher, able to demonstrate a passion for their subject area and the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities in the 16-19 age range. With a demonstrable record of good or outstanding results, you will have a commitment to raising aspirations and achievement and supporting the wider college community. If you are currently undertaking initial teacher training you will have demonstrated outstanding potential and aptitude for post-16 teaching.
New College Bradford is a 16-19 free school which will open in September 2019, initially with 500 students, rising to 1200 by September 2021. The college sits within the New Collaborative Learning Trust, a multi-academy trust established by New College Pontefract (an Ofsted outstanding provider). We believe that students at New College Bradford should enjoy high-quality teaching and learning underpinned by a culture of high expectations, challenge and support, both for students and staff, which will enable young people in Bradford to secure high-quality qualifications to support them into employment, training and higher education.
Working in a new campus, you will join a focused and driven team at the cutting-edge of teaching and learning, with an unwavering desire to make a real difference in improving the life chances of the young people of Bradford. New College Bradford will primarily deliver A Levels, alongside a number of Level 3 Applied General qualifications.
We are keen to appoint flexible staff, reflecting the fact that different posts and structures will be needed as the college grows and as student numbers within subject areas become established. Accordingly, we welcome applications from individuals interested in full time or part time employment, and from individuals interested in teaching one subject, or more than one subject area.
If you believe that you have the skills and abilities to take on this role, we’d love to hear from you.
