Salary: Band H, Points 24–27 £10,237 – £11,192 per annum pro rata, depending on experience

(full time equivalent £28,672 – £31,346 per annum)

Contract Type: 2 days/15 hours per week (8am – 4pm), term time only (+2 INSET days)

Contract Term: Permanent

Contract Start: 1st September 2021

An exciting opportunity to join a team who teach, model, and encourage a love of learning, collaboration, and compassion for others.

We are seeking to appoint a Student Counsellor to provide a confidential and professional counselling and welfare support service to our students. The successful candidate should have previous experience of counselling Secondary School age students in an education environment as well as experience of working with external support agencies to be able to signpost students where necessary. With a relevant counselling qualification to Level 4, you must have a commitment to student welfare and achievement and the ability to listen and advise in a non-judgemental way. Reporting to the Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work independently and as a member of a wider team.
