Salary: Actual salary £11,962 – £13,147 (depending on experience)

Band I of the NCLT Support Staff Scale, FTE salary £28,333 – £31,138

A recruitment and retention allowance may be offered for an outstanding candidate.

Contract Type: 18.5 hours per week, Wednesday and Thursday 8.15am – 4.00pm, Friday 8.30am -12.30pm Term Time Only (38 weeks)

Contract Term: Permanent

We are seeking to appoint a counsellor to provide a confidential and professional counselling and welfare support service to our students.  The successful candidate should have previous experience of counselling young adults in an education environment as well as experience of working with external support agencies to be able to signpost students where necessary.  With a relevant counselling qualification to Level 4, you must have a commitment to student welfare and achievement and the ability to listen and advise in a non-judgemental way.  Reporting to the Assistant Principal, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work independently and as a member of a wider team.

New College Bradford, which opened in September 2019, is a 16-19 free school with 1200 students on roll.
