Salary: Band J of the NCLT Support Staff Spine, (£31,363 – £33,933) fte, pro rata depending on experience.  Actual salary £10,735 – £11,615.

A recruitment and retention allowance may be offered for an outstanding candidate.

The New Collaborative Learning Trust (NCLT) are looking to appoint a highly organised and motivated individual to provide clerking support to the Advisory Groups, Audit Committee, Board of Members and Board of Directors.  NCLT are a Multi Academy Trust, currently comprising of three post-16 Colleges and an 11-16 School, with the potential for further expansion.  

The Clerk to the Trust will be required to work flexibly to facilitate all meetings related to the governance of the Trust.  The Clerk will provide advice and guidance to the Trustees on constitutional and procedural matters, as well as planning, arranging and drafting agendas for approximately 34 meetings within the year, personally attending around 16 of these meetings, which typically take place in the early evening and form part of your working hours.  Flexible working arrangements may be considered, and can be discussed at interview.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational, communication and administrative skills, a high attention to detail and the confidence to work with a variety of senior stakeholders.  Previous experience of governance or clerking is desirable.
