An Exciting Opportunity to Join a Dynamic New Team!

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional leader to the position of Assistant Principal to enable the college to be recognised as an outstanding provider of post-16 education. The Assistant Principal will be responsible for student behaviour, formal intervention and support procedures for students, school liaison, and parental engagement.

The successful candidate will share our vision to make a significant difference to the lives of the young people of Bradford, and have the passion and determination to raise standards of academic attainment and progress in a College located in an area of significant deprivation.  Ideally with a proven track record of school improvement, we are looking for a candidate who can engage, motivate and inspire both staff and students, as well as raise aspirations and go the extra mile.

New College Bradford is a 16-19 free school which opened in September 2019, initially with 600 students, rising to 1400 by September 2021.  The College sits within the New Collaborative Learning Trust, a multi-academy trust established by New College Pontefract (an Ofsted outstanding provider).  New College Pontefract, New College Doncaster and New College Bradford work closely together, presenting exciting opportunities for collaboration, support, development and progression. We believe that students at New College Bradford should enjoy high-quality teaching and learning underpinned by a culture of high expectations, challenge and support which will enable our students to secure high-quality qualifications to support them into employment, training and higher education.

Working in a new campus, you will join a focused and driven team at the cutting-edge of teaching and learning, with an unwavering desire to make a real difference in improving the life chances of the young people of Bradford.  New College Bradford primarily delivers A Levels, alongside a number of Level 3 Applied General qualifications.

If you believe that you have the skills and abilities to take on this role, we’d love to hear from you.
